Ikat is an ancient tie & dye technique practiced in few of the States in India. In a single Ikat as well as double ikat, threads in the warp or the weft are tied & dyed depending upon the design. The artisans of Orissa, especially from the surrounding areas of Sambalpur have consistently developed this technique through their creativity. Presenting handloom ikat saree that is a unique creation displaying various artistic expressions such as crescent moon with a girl resting on it, yin and yang and a girls artistic portrait amongst the many depictions.
